Krazy Lock Dude!
U-lock, check. Rope, check. Hacksaw, check. Yeah, you’ll need the hacksaw not to steal a bike, but to unlock your OWN bike, if you’re in or around Williamsburg, NY. According to the Brooklyn Paper: Looks like a local is fed up with bikes crowding up the side-walks…so he has decided to take street justice into his own hands by gluing locks shut with krazy glue. Injecting the super glue into these locks almost seems self-defeating for an anti-bike vigilante who wants the hoard of bikes to…well…go away!? Hang tight fellas and kick that glue outta his hand! For the full story check it!
White Rock Detour
The two year, quite literal uphill battle of a detour: some say “get over it” while some have major concerns…Shout out to our friends at Dallas Bike Works, who are located right there in the midst of the detoured crossing. Hang in there! And don’t forget to support your Local Bike Shop!!!
p.s. Do I spy Storm at -0:37?

Stan Engelbrecht and Nic Grobler are working on a photographic project (Bicycle Portraits) capturing everyday people and their bikes. They need your help though! Visit their site for more info and possibly send them around the world!Stan Engelbrecht is a Cape Town (South Africa) based photographer and publisher who has published numerous books, including ‘Miss Beautiful’ and the best-selling ‘African Salad’ ( www.dayonepublications.com ). He harbors a deep love for bicycles and has a keen interest in contemporary South African culture.
Nic Grobler’s interest in bicycles and cycle culture has steadily built up over the last 7 years as he found himself traveling and ‘living’ internationally from time to time. Spending so much time away from home and immersed in different cultures has converged his interests and attention to things that universally help increase happiness, like chocolate and bicycles. Finding that the empowering use of bicycles, as seen in various other countries, has not been adopted enough in South Africa, he is keen on playing a part in the changing of bicycle culture closer to his home. Design and animation is what keeps him busy otherwise. He currently lives in Johannesburg, South Africa
Thanks Rob for the forward!
Who says you need an Air Stream ?
Back in October 1940 this kid, as you can read above, took his bike and trailer on a 1200 mile ride. It must of been an experience to stop on coaster breaks with a trailer.
100 Car Parking Lot = 690 Bike Parking Lot
Annie Scheel took first place in the Delaware Valley Green Building Council Design Competition with her awesome all-in-one bike center. Even though it’s hypothetical it would be an awesome structure with bikes, restaurants, showers, and mini shops. Read more about her plan: Philadelphia Parking Lot TransformedChrome is Slippin!
Chrome has officially released their new Tobruk slip-on shoe, available in both Black and Grey Cordura. I personally prefer slip-ons so I just might pick up a pair in the near future.
The Tobruk is filled with details that make riding in them easier and the shoe, itself, tougher. Those features include:
· Low profile design to better fit into a toe cage
· 100% vulcanized construction
· Weatherproof 1,000 denier Cordura with back-padding
· Re-enforced nylon/glass fiber shank to support the midsole
· Board lasted sole to eliminate pedal hot spot
· Skid resistant contact rubber on the sole
· Polyurethane contoured crash pad insole
· Durable rubber heel cup with reflective safety hit
· Center gore slip-on design

Check our more photo and cop a pair here! Major shoutout to Jackie at Chrome for showing us some love!
