I live in Chicago, and I love to bike.  I will be returning to my hometown of Denton for this Christmas, and I know I'll have a pedal itch when I experience how much more accommodating the weather is for biking in TX than it currently is in IL.

I have been wrestling around with the idea that I would pack one of my bikes with me, but alas, the trip would become more costly.  I was hoping a fine Dallasite, such as yourself, could aide me in an alternative.  Do you have an extra 53-56cm fixed gear bicycle for sell?  If so, I would be interested in taking it off your hands.

Truthfully, borrowing a fixie for the short duration I am in town would be ideal in my case, yet you don't know me.  As much as I can persuade you that I am good people, such an arrangement (I admit) sounds sketchy as I myself would be hesitant to lend.  Although, if the awkward mood does strike you, I would hand over to you my 2003 Giant Rincon as collateral as well as render one of the following fees (but not limited to) for rental of your bike:

- I treat you to a meal & a beer @ your favorite pubbery
- 6-pack & pizza (similar to previous, MINUS me)
- reasonable monetary exchange
- other suggestions

Before I return to Chicago, we switch back, and we just pretend I never existed.  I realize it's a tall order to ask, but when you got a fever, you just gotta find a way to make things better.  Anyway, please let me know if you can help.

Ride a safe & happy holiday!

Allright, Chicago guy, I'm intrigued.  I may have something that fits the bill.  What days are we talking?  Will you also need a lock?  Will you be performing the OMG SIQ BARSPINNNZZZ on my beloved bikecycle?  Can I borrow your bike when I go to Chicago?  Can you message me on this website?

You are nice.  Thank you for responding.

Believe it or not, we've met before.  I dropped by the shop a few days after Thanksgiving and I bought a "I bike Dallas" shirt.  My roommate loved it.  We also gabbed about Chi.

Of course, you can ride my bike when in my woods!..I would expect it.

I will be in town from Monday, Dec. 21st to Wednesday, Dec. 30th.  I do have a U-lock that I will pack with me.  I don't know how to bar spin, but I may put some wear on your rear tire.  I can arrange to bring my own tire if that will be an issue.

I should also mention that I'll be riding your bike in Denton.  But, I do plan riding in Dallas either on my own or with any interested party.

So, you still up for it?  If so, let's talk rental "fee," when to meet up, riding plans, etc.
