Pretty sure it was abandoned a few days after it was stolen. A building maintenance guy found it locked in a storage closet at Renaissance Tower.

Steve spotted it in the guy's truck and the rest was bike recovery magic.

Wow yeah I bet it was abandoned shortly after and didn't get very far either.  I saw it locked up at Renaissance Tower a couple days before I heard it was stolen.  I've been scolded by security for locking my bike to the railings there. Maybe maintenance cut it off.
