Visiting and Brought My Bike.

Hey Dallas, my name is Skye and I'm from Nashville, TN. I brought my bike with the hopes of riding around the city. I was curious if there were any rides going on, what's up with critical mass for December, etc. It would be cool to meet some fixed gear people from this area and explore the land. I'm currently staying in Garland, but I don't have a problem with riding to Dallas. I'll be in town until the 30th. Let me know whats up.

There will probably be a ride this coming Monday (dec28)at mockingbird station. One Speed Dallas usually holds MONDAY NIGHT MASH!! This past ride was about 20 miles and hella fun, you should come out. Us Dallas folk are friendly!!

critical mass is happening on christmas, but i will be in fort worth, and fort worth is weird and does theirs on a monday (probably because the majority of people who participate work at spiral diner which is closed on monday)

in dallas people meet downtown at main & market near the red courthouse building and JFK memorial.


Do the girl ride on tuesday too.

Thanks guys! I'll definitely try to make it out to those rides. I was also curious if there were any bike laws that I need to keep in mind?

there is a helmet law!

if youre into wearing one then youre fine, if not, i bet if you just tell them youre not from here and just visiting they wouldnt ticket you.

i've been talked to a couple times for not having a helmet and i just say something like "oh wow i didnt know that was a law, i'll get one."

I am in the same situation, I'm in Dallas visiting family and I brought my bike. What's the word on tmrw/today's (12/28) monday night mash? (where/when)

dang.. I wish I had seen this sooner. haha. sorry dude! it was a hella fun ride and I met some cool people. apparently there's a ride on wednesday. you should definitely make it out to that because I can't and wish I could. =[
