01/12/10 tits tuesday ride my friend jasmin got hit by an SUV! I was right behind her and this is pretty much what i saw:

Here's how it went down:
Jasmin was riding a single-speed cruising downhill on belmont, gaining quite a bit of speed, about to turn on mcmillian, and the brakes failed. SHAZAM! She yells out, "ohno!ohno!" and BLAM! it sounded like a soda can being crushed right next to my ear. Jasmin and the bike go flying. She rolls over in mid-air and her shoe goes flying straight up into the air. (see example) she hits the ground. i throw my bike and run straight to her. She grabs her glasses and puts on her shoe instinctively. Amazingly, she's fine. She has both lips busted and a scrape on her chin. Scariest thing I've witnessed. Glad she was okay.
