Bastille on Bishop

Bastille on Bishop

Bicycle Friendly Oak Cliff & Go Oak Cliff put together another beautiful event. This was my first year to attend Bastille on Bishop, even though I missed the mussels, I was able to enjoy Matt Tolentino jamming on his accordion and the taste of french fries and sausages. [nggallery id=43]

I am in Houston for the weekend, so I was able to attend Houston's Critical Mass ride yesterday.  I talked to the shop guy and girl at Houston Fixed Gear about the ride and they were really friendly and told me to expect a crowd of around 400.  All varieties ...

Locals: Tad

Say hello to our long time friend and supporter, Tad and his Schwinn Cutter. He spotted me out while I was taking photos at the Ride of Silence. The first time I met Tad we were riding on the Monday Night Mash and something broke off his bike in uptown, and since then we have been friends. Tad is an amazing guy and you would be lucky to meet him!

Ride of Silence re-cap

Another great ride, with a real good purpose. We’re so used to riding fast, or like me quasi-fast, and chatting up a storm with our cycling buddies about current events that it’s refreshing to ride with others at a slower pace and to have the time to reflect on other cyclists that have passed on. As the ride came to a close  we rode into a parking lot with the sounds of a bag pipe playing. This for me was the perfect final touch.  It was awesome to hang out with some of our friends from Bicycle Friendly Knox-Henderson and Bicycle Friendly Deep Ellum .

Funkytown represent, meet Cody and his sticker-bombed VISP. When I met Cody he was super stoked for the Lonestar Goldsprints, and was ready to rep Fort Worth, as you can tell by his shirt. Look out for Cody if you’re ever in Ft. Worth.
